Occasionally I receive emails from people who came across my web site while searching for information about my father. Sometimes they are former students of my father who knew him as a teacher at NYU or HUC. An archive in Berlin dedicated to one of his former teachers (the composer Franz Schreker) had no idea what had become of him until I contacted them hoping to learn more about his early life! Still other inquiries have been made by musicians who have come across his music and are interested in what other music might be available for performance. I decided my father’s memory was deserving of a space where information about him could be aggregated and located easily. -Roberta Piket
